Emotional Weakness: Arrogance: Pride, among all emotions, is perhaps the easiest to fall to a darker form. Arrogance mirrors pride, but satisfactions in one's accomplishments is replaced with contempt for others' failings. It is not enough to succeed, the character also expects all others to fail.

Background

Ce'rai was born into ease, ability, and prosperity. Her birthright is power and her driving force is ambition. Her father's rank within both the clan and the Order supplied her with education, training, and confidence in her youth, not to mention quick access to resources her fellow padawans quite literally dreamed of. In her maturing years, Ce'rai has developed a relaxed attitude, preferring to project an image of aloofness rather than a pedestrian engagement in her studies. When Ce'rai speaks, though, everyone stops to listen, if only to avoid having their names carried swiftly to her father's ear.

Appearance

Ce'rai is tallish for a female Twi'lek, and her ocher skin glows slightly more golden than the rest of her clan. Rumor has it she bathes in gold flakes to achieve such a sheen. She is the pinnacle of poise, so when she slouches during a lecture, it is done with intention, claiming more and more of the chamber like a spider testing the strands of its web. Her large green eyes survey every room she enters as though she is making plans for redecoration just as soon as she owns it, which won't be long now. Her lekku are adorned with systems of leather straps that terminate in a small flap near the end of each lek which affords her the ability to make advanced gestures in a language she never bothered to explain to anyone - because it's primarily used for epithets. She lets them hang down her back most of the time, and the float and flow effortlessly in an extension of her grace.  

Beliefs

Having left the embrace of her luxe home, Ce'rai's beliefs have recently undergone a bit of change. She had thought that the galaxy was full of possibility and that people act for the benefit of all, but her exposure to her fellow padawans has made her recognize the galaxy for what it truly is: people using each other for selfish means. Even at the Jedi Academy. She hasn't gone completely cynical, though; she understands that there are padawans and masters alike that see the galaxy for what it is and still choose to try and help, so she takes the Academy seriously. The fact that every time she learns something, she puts it to use to further her own goals, well ... that's only a coincidence... she takes the Academy seriously.

Powers & Abilities

Being in charge comes easily to Ce'rai, and her charisma gives her natural talents at leadership and getting her way. Her confidence keeps her cool under pressure, and her uncanny ability to always be on the side with more information in a conversation helps guide her actions and sense danger. She has done just fine without Force abilities, and has so far explored only the power to bind others, which she sees as a good tool to have in her toolbox should her charm fail her.

Ce'rai has never truly connected with her family-heirloom lightsaber and typically leaves it hanging at her belt while idly fingering the holster of her intricately engraved blaster pistol. It's a subtle but purposeful motion, coolly threatening while also serving to draw any attention away from the holdout blaster she keeps tucked against the small of her back.
